What information is required to get an accurate price quote?
For the most accurate quote, please provide a 3D CAD file (STEP, IGES, or STL), a 2D drawing specifying tolerances and critical dimensions, the required material grade (e.g., copolymer, homopolymer), the order quantity, and any special surface finish or secondary processing requirements.
What are your typical machining tolerances?
Our standard machining tolerance is ±0.1mm (±0.004 inches). However, we can achieve tighter tolerances on critical features depending on the part geometry. Please clearly indicate all critical-to-function tolerances on your technical drawings for review.
Do you work with different grades of POM material?
Yes, we can source and process various grades, including standard copolymer (POM-C) and homopolymer (POM-H), as well as filled grades (e.g., glass-filled, carbon-filled, PTFE-filled) for enhanced properties like increased stiffness or lower friction.
For injection molding, who owns the mold tooling?
The mold tooling is paid for by and is the exclusive property of the customer. We will not use your tool to produce parts for any other client. We also offer maintenance and secure storage for the lifetime of the tool.
What is your process for prototyping before a full production run?
We can produce functional prototypes using our CNC machining services, which allows for rapid design validation. For injection molding, we can create a single-cavity P20 steel pilot mold for low-volume testing before investing in a multi-cavity hardened steel mold for mass production.
